They are your first cousins once removed. "Removed" has to do with generational differences. So you figure out the relationship with the person who is the same generation as you (your cousin) and then you count how many generations the others are different from you (one, so once removed). Your kids and his kids are second cousins, no removed because they're in the same generation, but they're both second generation, so second. Your grandkids and your cousin's grandkids will be third cousins, but his grandkids will be your first cousins twice removed.
