Absolutly not......no one is worth spending time in prison for. I would prefer to go through the proper chanels, and get the person convicted.........and i say this through first hand experience.
I was ;lucky in that we managed to get a conviction, but i know that some people are less fortunate. i still think it wrong to taker matters in to your own hands....one of the reasons why we have a justice system in this country.
Yes i agree with you about the "turn the other cheek" and "forgiveness"..........after all how can you forgive or even walk from a situation like this........these people are evil and deserve nothing short of castration i think.

Would be somewhere in the middle. It wouldn't be in anyway 'big' risking time in prison as after your family already being devastated with what had happened this would only cause more heartache. Now it would be a different story if you were 100% sure a person had done this to your child and for some reason the police couldn't get a conviction. In a real moment of anger who knows what you would really do to such a monster? Think I would be searching my soul to see if I could forgive but every time I looked at my broken child probably being only human wouldn't be able to do this. To me the expression you have used 'Turn the other cheek' means in this instance to be in denial of what has happened. Do you really think any parent could do that? Sincerely hope you are not a parent who has been through this ordeal.

I got 4 kids and this subject makes me feel sick but your right its taboo, but why?????????? I would have killed them before they were lucky enough to get arrested. Any woman who stands by and knows something might be happening to her child should be shot. And for the people who do it, how the f**k can they no words can comprehend the way i feel about these people, they should be let in a room with me for an hour and i guarantee they'd never do it again. As for the government who allows these people to be put back on the streets again when they've been convicted, what a register makes it all better and a couple of loony pills when they plead insanity. I am very open with my kids you have to be i have explained to them about this so called sick society we live in and it breaks my heart to have to do that in the fist place, they know exactly whats right and wrong, i dont even trust the schools these days, but i can trust my kids to tell me anything and know that they can come to me in any situation, never brushed under the carpet. Now i'll breathe..... i could carry on writing for hours but there'd never be enough space. Don't anyone ever stand by and let this sort of madness carry on, we have the children they never ask to be born, we should look after them.

the person that done this to a child has serious mental health problems because we would not do, and the child is the victim, all you can do now is concentrate on the child and not the anger you feel, because the child needs you, and the abuser will have a hard time now any way as they dint like them in prison or on the streets, there life is now over, and the child has no a chance to mend there broken hart as it was not there fault, i wish you luck and love with this as its a hard one in so many ways specially emotionally. hope you all be OK

No, I couldn't turn the other cheek, I would like to think I would be grateful that they had been caught.
If I had got to them first then, yes, I would be prepared to go to prison to protect them, seeking revenge I don't know. Until you are in that position.
I would walk over hot coals for my kids.
I would take any punishment necessary if it meant my kids were safe.
I would hopefully support my children if they needed or wanted me too.
I don't believe in an eye for an eye and all that stuff, but who knows if one of my kids were ever abused........

i would be prepared to do time in prison, but at the same time if a child's been abused their going to need the support off both of their parents, being abused can mentally and physically scar people and if there's any time to need your family that would be the time...

It's a common fact that even the most hard core prisoners hate child molesters. I'd have faith that the "big boys" will take care of the molester. He belongs to them now, 24/7, 365 days a year. Seriously, I'd be like....come on guys, don't disappointment me.

if he's not killed in the outside world i am sure he'll be killed inside prison or badly hurt, some inmates may be dangerous but when it comes to child abuse, they don't like it, but i would not try to kill anyone, i would make their lives hell instead....not a day would go by where this person would get any peace, not ever...
