The most effective thing I have found is a very old remedy: tincture of myrrh. I buy the tincture and put a few drops in a teaspoon of water and drop the mixture on the sore part of my throat. Since I have been using this, for about five or six years, I haven't had a sore throat for more than 36 hours.

Cepacol spray.... Do gargles twice a day if it is 2 strong 4 u You can dilute with water
