It is caused by a single stranded RNA virus of the family flaviviridae. Transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito bite. Hope this helps!

Since it's a virus, it's not alive, so it doesn't have a genus/species name. It is just referred to as Yellow Fever virus.
