Air Force personnel, including the Guard and Reserve, have been rotating to assignments there continuously for 16 years now (since 1991). When the first war ended, USAF and Naval air continued the air war for 10 years with over 300,000 sorties flown against (to contain) Sadam and prepare the battle space for the second invasion. With the rotations varying from 2 – 6 months (or so I’m told) a lot of Air Force personnel have been deployed there. Sorry I can’t give you an exact number.
