Sure. Some flowers are even edible such as roses and violets. My wedding cake had real roses on it.

I assume you mean real flowers, right? And yes, it's OK. I had them on my wedding cake. The look beautiful! But I wouldn't stick them into the cake..

Eatable flowers are really nice.
Nasturniums, johnny jump-ups, roses, calendulas, most herb flowers, chive flowers are great.

But for a cake, stay with rose pedals.

Of course, they look pretty and you can even put some that are edible!!!

Wegmans supermarkets sell edible flowers - they're in the fresh herbs section where the produce department is.

Depends on the flower .. you are better off using a fake flower.

Yes!! If they are not eatable than tell the person you are serving. They also look cool.... Red roses on a black forest cake is sexy.

Absolutely . It is very important that you use only food grade flowers which you can get from your local high quality / gourmet produce purveyor.
