don't panic, because if it were your appendix you wouldn't be on your computer. it is most likely a urinary tract infection. this can be taken care of by a doctor in about 10 days. you'll start to feel better after taking the meds in 3 days, but please finish all the meds as directed or you will surely have a re-acurance which may be even worst than before. see a doctor right away to rule out the appendix, because that can be life threating.

Gas, or some other intestinal trouble.

The only organs on the left side are the left kidney and spleen. Pain due to splenic conditions is not common, A kidney stone would likely mean you were on your way to the hospital in agony, rather than typing on the computer.

Without more detail, there's no way to really make a more accurate guess. You ought to describe when the pain started, how long it's lasted, how bad it is, whether it's getting worse or better. Also, is it a sharp pain? A dull, achy pain? Is there anything you can do to make it worse or better? How old are you? Do you have any nausea, vomiting? Diarrhea or constipation? Is the pain in the upper left, or lower left? Front or side? Are you male or female? If male, is it possible that you've got a hernia? If you're female, might this be related to your menstrual cycle? Is there any chance you might be pregnant? Have you ever had any surgeries on your abdomen or pelvis?

The more detail you provide, the better your question might be answered.

Pain from your appendix is going to occur on the RIGHT side, although you may feel pain all over during the process of an attack.

Pain on the left side may be a colon cramp, constipation, an ovarian cyst, a pulled muscle or a number of other things.

If the pain is intense, go to the emergency room. If it is worrying you, call your doctor. If it is mild, it will probably pass soon.

Not enough info for a complete prognosis.. If you have any further details.. Diarrorea etc.. With the details you gave, it could be anything from cramp to appendicitis, bruising to cancer, broken rib to excess acid.

Take it easy, have some painkillers & an early night. If it continues until tomorrow I suggest you consult a doctor, only s/he will be able to give you an informed diagnosis. Almost all things it could be can be treatable I believe.

Could be a kidney infection, ouch =( I'd get it checked out asap. Have a warm bath to sooth the pain for now though. Could also be apendicitis if pain is really intense.

Not appendix,on the right I believe. Could it be a "Stitch" which you get when running or just trapped wind, Try a hot bath and lie on your side in bed.
