Solar cars -- end our dependency on foreign oil and stop so much pollution. And I'm not even a tree-hugging hippie.

To heat water for domestic use. Water heating is energy intensive. The stored hot water can be used as heat, or dishes or showers. I tried some simple projects to see what can be done. One project consisted of a 2 liter bottle painted black in an oven bag. In a box with 8 mirrors each slightly less than a 2 liter bottle size. 4 on each side reflecting at it. Box covered with saran wrap. Water temp got to 215 degrees. Bottle suffered noticeable melting/distortion. 3 of these setups would easily provide hot water for above needs. Space needed amounts to a kitchen tables worth. So my materials were: Cardboard, mirrors or foil, saran wrap, tape and 1 of millions of 2 liter bottles people throw away everyday. Quit wasting energy to do simple stupid things. Electricity is for computer, stereo, tv and such. NOT necessarily for heating water. Heating water is about the lamest crap you could ever use your electricty for. On top of that why does everyone have hot water on tap for 24/365? Thats even more entirely f wording lame. Who thought of that excrement?

One that everyone could probably take some advantage of is passive solar. It does not require expensive solar panels, it just maximizes the sunlight already hitting your house.

They need to expand the absorption capalities of Solar panelling and the containment of the same, by doing this, the sky will realy be the limit!!....I am very surprised that they havent yet achieved this tho.........seems to me its the answer to so many of our problems.....yet i never hear of governments pooling vast amounts of money to aid this research?

Solar panelling for electricity, that way no more oil therefore no more pollution, then electric cars really will be eco-friendly.

I suggest we grow trees, bushes, grasses -- we rebuild the earth's heritage. we store carbon and we release oxygen. Let's give our enviroment back to nature.
