My manager is leaving and I'd like to buy him a nice gift. I don't want to spend more than $50. A few facts about him: he's 42 years old, has a girlfriend (so nothing she'll wonder about) and he smokes. Thanks!

Ok first off hun If u considered this to be a friend or something of that nature buying him smokes would be tacky...I would recommend buying a card with a gift certificate and or a gift card then he can get what interests him...Or If u know he like ssomething else is particular like model cars or something of that nature maybe something to that extent...But smokes I wouldn't recommend,,Me being a smoker I would know and that would make me feel bad like that was the only thing u thought about when u seen me...

A few suggestions:

1. Gift card to a nice restaurant. He can take his girlfriend and have a nice meal.
2. If he is a wine drinker, I suggest a nice bottle of wine or 2. Go to a wine store (not a grocery store). Tell the manager/clerk what you are interested in (white, red, etc.) and how much you are willing to pay. He/she will give you lots of ideas.
3. Is he going on to another managing job? If so, a nice pen and pencil set may be in order
4. A nice frame. He can put is girlfriend's photo in the frame or maybe a family pick!

possibly you're able to get her a cutting-edge certificates for a nail clipping or pedicure if she's into that style of element. How bout make her a basket with stuff she likes in it (attempt the dollar save for baskets, candles, knick knacks and such) you're able to positioned 3 tiny airplane bottles of a few liquor in it. Take her out to dinner. you could under no circumstances bypass incorrect with present certificates so she would be in a position to purchase her very own cd's, video clips, outfits, etc. Or while you're desperate, chilly confusing money and a card works everytime (even nonetheless impersonal, and an basic way out) howdy, even a gas card! cases are problematic for a 21 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous. How bout an much less costly indoor waterfall?

Lighter like zippo limited edition, tie, book about his passion (fishing/ bike/ wine etc..), they're all about $50.

PS. You don't give money or gift certificate with monetary value showing, to your boss. Your boss CAN do that to subordinates, but not the other way around.

A nice cigarette holder made from leather or metal.
A Zippo lighter
A nice metal business card holder for his new business cards would be nice too.

A beautiful & well designed ashtray could be a perfect gift for him since you said he is smoking.
