These are hardest types of questions for us Yahoo Answerers. Because out of the millions of people that have accounts, only one person can answer it. And that person is you. You are the only person who knew your sister, so you are the only person that can decide what to leave by her grave. Doing something simple, like buying her favorite flowers or writing a long letter, can be incredibly meaningful. It's about opening up your heart, not your wallet.
I am so sorry about your sister. Good luck.

Is there something that the two of you had in common?? Is there something that you know she loved??
If it were me, in your shoes, I would probably leave a letter. Maybe you can use this as an opportunity to say things to her you didn't get a chance to say. I personally believe that to be absent from the body --is to be present with God. For me...I would look at the coming birthday as a new mourning AND healing process for myself.
You will think of something wonderful...only because you knew her better than any of us did.
I am sorry for your families loss.

I am so sorry for your lose of a sister. The best thing I can suggest is that it comes from the heart. You alone can only know what you and your sister shared and that should give you inspiration to figure out what to do. If it were my sister I would give her a poem to let her know how much I love her and Miss her.

My deepest sympathy for you and your family. You could get a grave plaque made with a pic of you and ur sis on it, and put ur own special words on it, either way the day itself will be hard for you so even a simple red rose from the heart and a few words could be ur special gift 2 her. My thoughts are with you.

OH Honey! That is so hard, my sincere condolences, you have to put something you both used to talk about, a little phrase that made ou both laugh, something that remembers you of her in a happy way. It's so hard to lose someone you love......especially a sister! Make it special...for both of you like she is going to read it and it will make her smile along with you. She loves you from wherever she is in heaven, she wants you to be happy too. You will know when you see it. Good Luck.....a friend.

I am sorry to hear about your loss, and that is very thoughtful of you to want to put something special there for her.
An idea is maybe to write a letter, and read it to her, about all the things you remember about her.

hon, this is something really private and special that is coming from you, so you shouldn't take ideas from us. try to look inside your heart, see what your sister would like, and it will be a lot more special, both to you and your sister.
i am terribly sorry about your sister, and she is probably looking down on you right now.

Flowers is best. If you leave anything of value some scum bag might walk off with it. I'm very sorry for your loss.
