I'd hate to say it... but the other guy is right! If you're looking for raw kicking a*s power you're better off with the 06-07 8 cylinder Ford Mustang. This is of course, if you buy brand new.

In the used car market it's a whole brand new ball-game and it depends on how far back you want to go. Quickly coming to mind is a 2004 Vette.

Today's cars are not as easily tampered with as some of the older muscle cars. If The Need For Speed is your game, look further back into restoring something old.

Good luck, drive responsably... and keep it on the race track, not on our streets!

Brand New sorry but your only choice is the mustang. If you want a used 1 for under 25k then look up the Mitsubishi evo, or the wrx sti, or the Pontiac GTO, bu brand new for under 25k your r really not going to find something that's all that fast besides the stang. 0-60 in 4.9 sec. and when u pull to a red light everyone becomes a race car driver when they see the stang next to them. I know i used to have a 96 GT. Other then that u should look at the Mazda RX-8 or the mazdaspeed 3, i hear those cars are fast but on the cheap side to. And remember if u live in a state thats gets a lot of snow you are better off buying a front or all wheel drive car. Rear wheel drive and snow do mix at all. Even more so when u have 300hp going to the rear wheels. So be care full when u make ur choice.

relies upon on what you call relaxing. In my line of artwork, the main relaxing we've been given out of a motor vehicle(s) replaced right into a Acura TSX(used) and raced in the SpeedVision traveling series, or our BMW 325 (Betty) it incredibly is likewise changed for RS racing in SCCA. The TSX is the coolest fee to maintain up and look after, however the BMW definetly has the "solid as a rock" function. For the line, I even tend to lean in direction of the Acura, basically simply by fact it rides soft and is relatively low-fee to maintain. in case you opt for for a "pocket rocket", the SRT-4 (Neon) is awsome, as is the WRX Subaru.

race what and where? like street race? drag? drift? scca?

used sti or evo. period. they will do almost anyrthing, and they hold their value better than an srt-4 or cobalt ss (not to mention it will whoop them in the 1/4 mile any day!)

New or used. I can't think of anything new for that kind of money. Used try a Corvette or Camaro.

If you're willing to buy used, go for the Acura NSX.
