You may just have a sinus infection. I would get some help from the doctor. If it's a headache that causes you to be sensitive to light or makes you nauseated, then you may be suffering from migraines. Either way, you need some medications to treat.
In the meantime, drink some caffeine. It opens your blood vessels and is great for headaches

Muscles get knots called trigger points. These make the muscles tight causing them to press on nerves and other thing.
Pain can be referred from places other than the head.
#1 The first thing is to take a couple swigs of molasses or eat a couple of bananas. They contain magnisium and potassium both of which muscles need.
#2 WATER she should be drinking 1/2 gallon minimum. The head of neurology at UCDavis likens a body running low on water to a car running low on oil (the engine can seize).
Get a good (deep tissue) massage (to loosen the trigger points) on the back, shoulders and neck. Make sure to press up at the base of the skull where it meets the spine.
You rub or lightly scratch everywhere on your head. You will hit spots that are tender these are trigger points. The idea is to rub across them 6-12 times per session up to six times per day until they go away.
For more information on trigger points read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.

Could be a migraine. Try taking 2 Migraleve tablets (the PINK tablets NOT the yellow ones). Should clear it in 20-30 minutes.

Are you sitting in front of a computer screen for long periods? Get a filter screen fitted over it - even if it already has a filter built in. The built-ins don't work, in my experience.

Could be migraine-I would say that you should definately go to your doctor as persistant headaches need to be investigated-that said, how much time do you spend on here? long periods looking at a computer screen can cause headaches/migraines.Or perhaps you need glasses-I was getting really bad headaches at one point and my optician examined me & determined I needed glasses for reading,T.V etc.

this could be your Sternocliedomastoid mucsle. this muscle are located into 3 different bone, the sternum, clavicle, and your mastoid process. Bend your head and neck backward, rotating the face to one side. the muscle will be strectched at the clavicular head on the opposite side. turn your head to one side, then at full rotation tilt the chin toward the shoulder. the muscle will be stretched at the sternal head on the same side.
