My friend invited me to dinner in Basta Pasta located in Union Square in NYC. I asked her what the dress code is, she said "come as you are" (meaning casual I suppose)Before I can ask what she meant, she hung up and I still can't get a hold of her. So if anyone has been to Basta Pasta please tell me how "casual" this place is.

The restaurant is wonderful, people go there from all over the city, great choice!!! Casual is truly casual. Ok, I wouldn't show up in my PJ's, but jeans are fine. It is really very laid back. As it's winter you want to be comfortable and wear something warm for outside, so layer up. You don't have to wear a dress, unless you want to, with leggings underneath. Actually anything goes over there.

Anything goes, you don't have to get all dressed up for a pub, you could just go dressed comfortable and have some drinks. For clubs, a lot of people like dressing up and sometimes they have dress codes, if you know what club your going to, you could look it up on-line and it will say what attire you need to wear.
