My favorite pork chop dish is dipping the chops individually in a bowl of beaten eggs, shake the excess, then dip them in a ziplock full of crushed frosted flakes. Bake 30-60 mins at 350, based upon how thick the chops are. Thicker chops may require longer baking time. Even my kids love these sweet chops.

Funny you asked since I think this is what I'm doing for dinner tonight. It's one of my favorite fast, super simple but very yummy dinners.

Lightly salt and if you want pepper pork chops. Coat with a layer of Apple butter and bake without turning. The Apple Butter seals the meat so it is very succulent.

Variations; I think it is especially yummy when made with flavored Apple Butters. I sometimes mail order the real stuff from Amish country in Lancaster PA, but you can often find it in markets, stores like Trader Joes (they have an awesome Pumpkin Apple butter), and specialty shops. My 2 favs are Peach Butter and the Pumpkin Butter. Cracker Barrel stores sell a pretty good plain one as well.

This works as well on boneless, skinless chicken breasts and seals in the moisture. I love sweet w/pork and chicken and this is just perfect without being overwhelming. Plus it's healthy and hardly adds any calories, especially if you choose unsweetened Apple Butter, which is pretty sweet.

Brown the chops then remove to a platter. In the same pan add a clove of chopped garlic and cook til soft. Add 1/2 c of soy sauce and 1/2 c of brown sugar until combined. Stir in 1 TB of flour and 2 TB of water and mix until sauce thickens. Add back in the chops and spoon the sauce over them. cook until the chops are done.

I dip my chops in apple juice, fry in sesame oil and when they're almost done, I sprinkle a teaspoon of raw sugar, and some sage and oregano on each side and turn the heat up - just for half a minute for each side - it gives it a nice crackly glaze.
