Speaking from experience having gone to a private catholic school with uniforms I can unequivocally tell you the uniforms have absolutely no bearing on your grades other than in some cases it may relieve a mild bit of stress having to do with adolescent teasing over clothing and therefore keeping students a bit more relaxed and able to concentrate on their studies.

The idea behind the uniforms is for 1. to instill a sense of pride in belonging to something, 2. add an element of discipline to students to keep themselves neat and orderly, reasonable well groomed and 3. to lessen the discrepancy between the haves and have-nots.

There will always be the more affluent kids who have the best/newest of eveything and those that struggle to have anything at all and with uniforms the idea is that everyone has the exact same thing and it levels the playing field so the poor don't feel inferior to the rich etc.

In theory it's a great idea but in reality is doesn't always work. At my school, we all had the same blazer and tie but we could wear any white dress shirt we wanted and any black pants, shoes and belt - these items is where you could see the difference if you looked for them. Other than that you could always tell the rich from poor in many other ways, like accessories (ie toys etc). The rich would have their own cars, walkmans (early predecessor to the iPod. lol), cell phones etc.

No it does not assure better grades but it does give them an equal opportunity chance. Most less fortunate ones will no longer feel belittled or self conscious of there clothing therefore they will feel more comfortable in there school environment. They will feel as though they fit in better and are no different. This will or should automatically help them concentrate on other things like there work instead of everybody elses new or better clothes. The uppity or bratty kids you know the ones I'm talking about will no longer be able to flaunt there designer clothing. I think it is a good idea.

no longer in all threat. circuitously, it could, becuase it motives them to concentration on stuff different than outfits. human beings use outfits as a standing image, to assert they are extra advantageous than somebody else by using fact their outfits are extra costly. All cloth possessions are used like that, yet outfits are in easy terms a extra advantageous indicator than maximum. And donning a uniform and keeping a undeniable properly-known of visual attraction does sell discipline. whether, donning a uniform does not immediately advance the grades of a pupil. a minimum of, no longer in my opinion. It incredibly does count number on the guy. i think of the hype that perpetrates that concept is the actuality that faculties that have uniform regulations generally call for extra from their pupils. So it motives human beings to associate uniforms with extreme standards. that's a generalization that may not unavoidably real.

Not directly, as uniforms are inanimate.

But they do level the playing field, take focus off the latest Nike shoes that all the gangstas are wearing, and instill a sense of pride and unity.

So yes, they do help.

no way it totally depends if the student looks sraight at the teacher all the time and turns in homework. or asks the teacher for help if they dont understand something.
i once failed all my tests but my college teacher called my house to tell me i was such a good student she was exempting me from the final and she passed me. I just always looked at the teacher, and ansered questions she asked even if i did not know the answer.

No, they just make everybody look the same so there are no social classes but that doesn't stop the students from being popular. I think this is true in my opinion but you could ask someone else.
