realise you don't need them .what do they do nothing.
picture why you smoke when you smoke .
After meals to relax ?
look around do you see non smokers sitting uptight no ,they are relaxed with no smoking needed.
Realise its the nicotine making you feel the way you do you are hooked ,you only get pangs as u want nicotine each pang last few seconds after few days the days weaken then after 2 weeks you dont even notice them .

Cold turkey worked for me. I haven't smoked for 10 years now! You'll also save heaps of money so perhaps give yourself a goal to save for. Something you wouldn't normally buy yourself, a great handbag or pair of shoes, a really nice jacket. Make the first goal something not overly expensive though, say a restaurant dinner for you and your boyfriend. Each day that you go without smoking, place the money that you have saved into a tin and if you give in to your addiction then you have to take the money out of that tin to purchase them. As the money builds up, treat yourself! It's a way to acknowledge just how much money you waste on cigarettes and what you could be doing with that money instead! Good Luck! Oh, and you've also got to avoid the triggers ... if you normally have a cigarette with a cup of coffee, then don't sit down and drink coffee anymore - drink your cup of coffee when you are doing the dishes, for example. You've got to make it dificult for yourself to have a cigarette. If you smoke while watching TV, then take up knitting and knit while you watch TV.

The best advice I can give you, Is to Get ready Set a date to stop Tell your friends and family you're stopping, and ask them not to offer you any cigarettes and not to smoke around you. talk to your GP about getting treatment to help you stop. Ask your GP or another health professional what support is available in your area Get rid of all the ashtrays, lighters and cigarettes in your home, your car and your place of work. Once you get to your 'stop day', don't smoke, not even one 'last' cigarette. Don't let anyone smoke in your home. Ask them to smoke outside. When you get the urge to smoke, do something to distract yourself. Have a drink of water, go for a walk, talk to someone, get busy with a hobby or a chore you've been meaning to do. Change your normal routine so that you don't think about when you used to smoke. For example, if you used to have a cigarette right after breakfast, have your breakfast somewhere where you can't smoke, say, in the office. Switch to tea if you used to drink coffee. Try to reduce stress by having a hot bath, taking an exercise class or by reading a book or magazine. Drink lots of water and other fluids.
Well I wish you all the best of luck, You can do it!! Skycat…..

I was a heavy smoker and had to give it up after I had a heart attack. My doctor asked me how many cigs I smoked and I told him the truth
He has to know this so he can give you the correct strength . The patches really helped me a lot. I now have a no smoking sign on my front door and my house smells lovely and fresh. Hope you manage to break the nasty habit. Good Luck

Go to a support group this will hopefully give you the courage. Your boyfriend should be there to help. Nicotine patches will work. Everytime you want a *** have some chewing gum also think of all the things you'll be able to buy with the money your not using to be ciggies/.

Options are the various forms of NRT: patches, insuflators, (bit like sucking on an artificial cigarette ),gum, lozenges, nasal sprays or micro tabs.
Of The NRT range I would recommend combining a patch with an instantly available preparation, either the insuflator or the gum.
Zyban is more effective than NRT but has more side effects. On occasion it has been used with NRT.
Willpower and a bit of luck.
All I can do is wish you all the luck

cold turkey worked best for me-mind you I was pregnant and quite ill, I went back-both times, the only thing that's helped me come closest was the patch, I still smoke but I am a spineless jellyfish. I wish you the best of luck.

See your GP - most run stop smoking clinics. Wife and I were referred during her last pregnancy and it worked a treat (at least for 4 months, then my mother paid us a visit and it all went south!) Does wrk though - we are giving it another go soon.

Just do it chick. I quit just over 3 years ago and in all honesty, it was the easiest thing I ever did. Was costing me money I didnt have and making me smell awful so I decided I didnt want those nasty little sticks in my life anymore. You can do whatever you want to do if you really want to do it. Good luck.
