I´m going to take a cruise that departs from San Juan, Puerto Rico on may. But i want to visit the city, and stay 2 nights before the cruise starts. Is recomendable to stay near the Port, or is better to stay close to the Airport and pay for a cab when is time to go to the cruise?
anyway, can anyone recomend me hotels in San Juan, better is they are good located or near the port? Thanks.

2 nights is a fair amount of time to stay somewhere nice, and the Port isn't the best place. Choose between the Old Town, Beachfront and the Oceanfront, by researching some pictures and the National Tourism site for Puerto Rico.

Taxis are cheap and reliable, especially when ordered by the hotel.

I've listed some links below to help you make some good choices. Good luck on your trip - it's a nice place.

All the most important hotels in PR have airport shuttles. The top of all is the Ritz Carlton, is in Isla Verde and one night cost you around $395.00 per night plus taxes. Near is El San Juan Hotel & Casino, one cost around $289.00 per night plus taxes (check first because the charge is per person per night in the same room). If you what one out of San Juan you most choose El Conquistador Hotel, Casino & Spa, this hotel have a private island (beach) and is beautiful, the cost around $290 to $305. You can check in their web pages, the San Juan and El Conquistador are part of the Whydham family. Other excellent hotels are Caribe Hilton and the Water Club (this is a boutique hotel). So good luck searching for you hotel.
