I used to have my hair long with blunt bangs in the front, but my hair naturally parts at the side, so I had a hard time keeping my bangs against my forhead, and had to straighten them (via flat iron) ALOT. Now I have my hair cut MUCH shorter (about 11" shorter, I donated to Locks of Love) and have trained (what is left of) my bangs over to the side so they can grow back out. Only...they don't grow anymore, and they keep breaking off. They have broken off so much that (in parts) they're only an inch or two long. HELP ME PLEASE!

You should buy some strengthening or damage control shampoo or treatment for your hair. You could try the Dove Advanced Care Sheer Moisture line, and/or the Dove Advanced Care Therapy Repairing Treatment. The Therapy Repairing Treatment puts moisture back into your hair and reduces breakage. But I would recommend using that instead of your conditioner, if you decide to use it.

Also, try not to straighten your bangs as much, if possible. You can also use a heat protecting cream. Loreal has a product called Sutdio Line Hot Straight [pink bottle], and it works really good.

To help your hair get a bit healthier, only use shampoo once a week and use lots of conditioner. I say this because shampoos strip your hair of the natural oils. Refrain from styling your hair with your flat iron. If at all possible don't even use a blowdryer. This will give your hair time to heal. The amount of time it will take for your hair to be healthy again depends on the damage already caused. Once your bangs grow out don't ever cut them again. Bangs are not for you. Since you will probably want a cute hairstyle when your not using irons here are some tips. If you have curly to wavy hair try a gel or mouse that is meant to bring out the curl. Even if you have straight hair you can usually get a great look that looks like you've been at the beach.

you just gotta get some real good conditioner, and some type of hair therapy lotion to put some life back into your hair.

most of these products will say "for fried hair like yours" on the label so that you know its right for you.

once you do that and the growth becomes more healthy, start over, and don't cook your do again.

peace.

i'd advise most of the nice and snug oil remedies, or maybe most of the extreme intensity conditioner. It won't restoration it each and each of how, yet with a bit of luck it is going to help deliver some existence lower back to it, a minimum of for a rapid jointly as till you are able to shrink it off devoid of dropping all your hair.

Really all you can do is wait until they start to grow back again. You might want to have them trimmed (I know it'll be difficult to style them) a little shorter. If they bug you too much, try using clips or bobby pins to keep them out of your eyes until they start to grow back once more.

There are shampoo and conditioner systems that help with damaged hair. I'm pretty sure Garnier has some. These shampoos/conditioners really work, while making your hair sleek and shiny.
