Try to stay away from bushes and trees. Try to stay clear of any water such as lakes, ponds, creeks, etc. Especially stay away from standing water such as water that is left or gathers in old tires or buckets, etc. Standing water carries mosquitoes that carry Encephalitis. My son had the LaCross (Wisconsin) stain of that when he was in 4th grade. He is now 40 yrs. We almost lost him. As such, I hate all mosquitoes. Also, mosquitoes bite the most just as the sun is coming up and when it is going down. Those times are "feeding times" for mosquitoes.

Also, remember to wear long sleeves and long pants and socks if you know you will be anywhere that has the environment that carries a lot of mosquitoes. I realize that is very uncomfortable, though.

Good Luck! I Hate Mosquitoes Also!!

I have the same problem, so I have tried various things. Eating garlic (crushed into a salad) helps, as does dabbing some citronnella oil behind knees, inside elbows and at base of my ears. I have found this has helped repell them tremendously! Hope this helps! Good luck!
