I sliced off my dogs tail with an old scissors and it wont stop bleeding?

my dogs tail was all curly, you know, and i heard its a disease that pigs get, but their immune to it. but when other animals get it, it could be fatal. so i tied him up and cut off his tail before the disease spread to the rest of his body, and it worked. but then he wouldnt stop bleeding for the longest, so i tied up the rest of his tail with duct tape. two weeks later, he finnaly got off the tape, and there was no hair on his tail, and his skin was greenish blue. i dont know whats going on here

You should be shot or someone should cut something off of you like your penis and duct tape it so it stops bleeding, doesn't that sound fair? what would possess you to cut something off of your dog with scissors? That is animal cruelty and you should have your dog taken away and go to jail. Do you know how much pain you caused your dog? Think about it!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE A HORRIBLE PERSON

Ok, I really hope this is some crude joke of sorts and not a real life scenario...if you actually did this then....no one in their right mind would ever cut off their dogs tail. That is inhumane treatment of an animal..are u qualified to be cutting off anything? Apparently you have no idea about infection, wound management, or anything even remotely considered medical or even common sense. Would you like it if someone on the street looked at you, thought something looked weird to them, tied you up and cut it off? The dog needs to be taken to the vet immediately...if it's green then that means that the tail tissue is infected and has necrosed/died and the dog is probably days away from a fatal infection.

I won't be as sharp as some of the other replies-man, your answers are enough to make a person not want to post at all. Take a look at his tail, clean it up, then assess it. The vet is always your best bet but some can't afford it-but if the bleeding is big, plz try to take him in. Bitter Apple works good as a deterrent if he's just biting it.

It sounds infected...big time..get the dog to the vet..he could end up with blood poisoning ..if it hasn't already..it could die from it. And while I am at it , who ever told you that a dog could get what ever from a hog was pulling your leg. Are there hogs around?? That person is a walking talking fruit loop. Never cut off a dogs tail like that..ever or anything else .It was no differen or less painfull for that poor dog than it would be for someone to tie you up and cut off fingers or toes with sissors. If the Animal controll people ever find out about this the dog would be taken away from you and you charged with animal cruelty..with a big fine or jail time.Do the poor animal a favor and get him to a vet...get your fright out and get some guts to face up and get moving now!

You should have brought your animal the vet if you were that concerned. No person should EVER cut off their pet's tail with a scissors! Especially an old pair of scissors!

Your dog probably has an infection - bring him to the vet NOW.

Why would you even do that?Well just please take the poor thing to a hospital.He could have an infection,and he could be in pain.When you go you need to tell the vet the whole story,say you werent thinking,if your dog ill be ok,and what is wrong with it.I really hope you learned your lesson in dog care,if you think something is wrong with it,go to a vet.Well I hope that I helped.Please,please,please don't do this again,it was very dangerous for your pet.Best of luck to you,and your dog.

I hope this isn't some kind of sick twisted joke because if so it's not funny AT ALL.

One of my dogs tails is curled at all times also, it's natural for the breed I guess. Dogs and pigs are 2 different things.

IF you really did this then take your dog to the animal hospital NOW! Your not supposed to cut off the tail yourself your supposed to get it professionally 'docked'!

he's got gangrene, a systemic infection in his blood and he is going to die. because you did a cruel thing to him. your not a vet, you don't know why his tail was curly. You didn't use proper antiseptic procedure and now your dog has got a serious and probably fatal, definitely pain full infection.

Are you some sick nut case or something...... How do you think you would feel is someone cut your "tail" off? If you seriously cant take care of this dog or do not want it you should take it to a aspca or something.
