Today is present, tomorrow is future, and yesterday is past. Time is just an illusion, however.
Yesterday cannot be tomorrow, and today must be current. The names are there to explain the day, not to be a subject of confusing questions that have no logical answer.

Use dates to make it easier.
Today is Feb 19. Yesterday is Feb 18.
If Feb 18 were tomorrow, Feb 19 would be two days from now (or the day after tomorrow).
