lately when i've been cooking kraft macaroni and cheese, some of the noodles stay hard while the rest are cooked perfectly. i stir often while they are boiling.

i don't understand why some would be so undercooked when they are all in the same temperature water, it's very confusing.

this seems like a silly question, but it's really gettting on my nerves, anyone with a similar problem or a solution?

thanks in advance

add salt and olive oil (1 tbs.) to the water. The salt will make the water boil at a higher temperature. the oil will make sure that none of the noodles clump together. That should help.

Boild the water first and then put in the Mac. Dont stir too much, it will cause the mac to become muchy and icky. Put in butter in the water as it boils to prevent sticking. Its ok to put in more water than you need. You will drain it anyways.

Add more water. When cooking pasta, you always need to use lots of water.

Never had that problem. Maybe you're not adding enough water, or you're overstirring them.

Or cook them longer.

do you mix it periodically while its boiling?

that could be the problem... because the noodles will stick together and then they wont cook fully.

I think it's one of two things.

Either you don't have enough water in the pot,

-Or-

Your macoroni is old/stale.

You probably don't have enough water in the pot.
