I adopted a four-month old tuxedo female a little over a week ago, extremely sweet, loves to cuddle, constantly purrs, gold eyes, already gets along great with my male (and my female is getting over having a younger sibling), just a beautiful, loving little girl. She's nearly identical (in looks and personality) to a tuxedo female I lost in surgery last year (her looks were obvious, but how much she acts like Nimmy is scary), so I'm having a terrible time figuring out her name! She was Pandora (Panda) for most of last week, but it really doesn't suit her. I'm looking for something cute, fun, and unique. She's a very chatty little one with a high voice and follows me all over the apartment, if that sparks any ideas. Please help!!! I'm really stuck!!! Anyone??

I think Tuxedo cats should have a name of dignity or royalty. Our kitten is Princess Jolie Le Chat (Princess Pretty the Cat), Jo Jo for short, but now we call her Little Bit because she was so tiny when we got her.

Give her a name like Cleo (by the way, a previous post said Cleopatra or Cleo - - - I LOVE IT) and add some dignified or royal words to it or use a foriegn language to make it sound important!

Enjoy her!

I usually feel that one should name their cats either by their physical attributes or personalities. Your cat appears to be very loving and sweet, along with being black coated and having gold eyes...which can be very alluring. I suggest a few possible names...goldie is simple and yet matches the eyes, i also think greek names and such can be fun...for your cat i like persephone...a greek goddess of the underworld but also of spring renewal, this has a darkness to her relating to her fur but also has beauty in renewal relating to your cats loving and sweet personality. Hope you like one...if not good luck eventually settling on a name.

Hmm.. how about a name out of mythology or maybe even history, to keep in line with Pandora.

Athena
Hera
Cleopatra or Cleo
Artemis
Persephone or Percy
Venus
Aphrodite

to name a few! (-:

Oreo is a great name for a tuxedo cat. I used to have a girl with that name. I miss her :(
