i just want to make sure this story is true. When the mother of prophet Muhammd gives birth to him, she had dreamed that to call her son "Muhammad"? notice that the name Muhammad wasn't really popular or known by people.

Actually, NO ONE was named Muhammad before him, Just as no one was named John before John 'the Baptist'.

The name means 'One (who is) Praised (exceedingly)'. Now, with that in mind, the verses in the Bible, John 14 where Jesus mentions another Comforter/Counselor, the Greek translation was 'Paracletos', which linguistically doesn't exist (it doesn't mean anything according to the language used at the time).

The actual word used was 'Periklytos' which was a name...

You guessed it... 'One (who is) Praised (exceedingly)'. In which case, what Jesus was saying was, 'I am going to send you Muhammad, who will come in my name'.
