It depends on which forms you need. Ours at HR Block last year were over 200$

This year we did our own taxes for FREE with turbo tax deluxe online through state farm (you have to be a state farm customer)

If not, you can buy turbo tax deluxe online for like 39.99.

If you qualify for freefile (there are income limits) you can go online to a company like H & R Block and file for free and do it all yourself. They prompt you every step of the way so it is pretty easy to file online. However, the fees all vary if you go to a tax preparer depending on how complicated your return is. I think the cheapest fee I have seen is $24.95....but the fees can go much higher than that.

To see if you qualify for Freefile, just click on this lRS link:

Hope that helps!

We used H&R Block for several years, each year the fee was higher for the same type of filing. (We do itemize). Two years ago the fee was $195.00. We bring in complete records. Needless to say we did not go back to H&R last year!

It depends on the complexity of your income tax filing. Generally speaking any where from 25.00 - 100.00++. You might want to phone them to see what they can ball park your particular filing as being.
