Why choose man's words over God?
Man's words are limited by his views on life. He has no capacity for thinking beyond this life. He knows of what he's seen and what he has experienced. He can't create water. He can't make man from nothing. Creation of air, controlling the wind, effecting people's health by merely speaking the words are realms he can't fathom. God created it all. He is unable to be tainted by the deception of others. He can't be swayed into another level of thought. He can't be bought. He can't be manipulated or controlled. He can't be touched so that the sins of man will infect him.
Maybe that's why man chooses not to follow God. A form of fear that no matter what, God will be right. Man loves to have secrets on other man just in case. Man can't learn anything on God that God doesn't allow man to know. That probably explains Man's jealousy of God. Man tries to touch God and be God (tower of Babel), but they fail and will continue to fail. thanks GOD!

I am a Christian and I choose God over man. Praise the Lord!
Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
AMEN!!

Just wondering, but where do we find words that are really God's?
Since the Bible was filtered through men - and their limitations due to their views of life, how do we know that those are God's actual words to us?
And by the way, I am a firm believer but people who also spew their misguided beliefs in the name of the Lord probably go against His will as well.

Which should PROVE the fact that sin and death came from the serpent -- satan - who cam to Eve and Adam as a serpent and brought his sin and rebellion and arrogance toward God and has
infected mankind with it --
Sin and death and all that comes with it does NOT come FROM GOD!!
Over all, and there is obvious evidence here, man decides that he
can do what he wants and he prefers to believe that he "evolved",
as that will make him exempt from having to give account to God,
but he WILL stand before God and give account whether he likes it or not!!
The atheist's anger comes from the fact that inside he/she KNOWS the TRUTH and doesn't want to accept that etermity is real and so is God's RIGHTEOUS judgment of sin -- thus, inside
they are actually very much AFRAID down inside whether they realize it or want to admit it to themselves or to anyone else....
-- And they SHOULD be afraid if they keep going on the path of unbelief and rebellion that they seem to want.....but they don't have to!!!
Read Romans, chapter one....and beyond.....

If you are a Christian asking this question, then you undermine your own religious beliefs. If you follow the words of Jesus Christ (pbuh) and not those of God, you are choosing man over God.

Why choose man over God? Because Man can deliver the goods. How many times have you taken medicine(an invention of man) when your were sick and got better? Now compare that to how many times you have pray while you were sick and gotten better. I bet that you usually got better when you took the proper medicine and that you rarely ever got better from just praying.

Which God? There are literally thousands to choose from. That Christians worship their Hebrew/Christian God does not prove that their God is paramount amongst others.

Some people don't believe God exists. You've got to believe he exists in the first place to accept his word.

I choose humanity over deities because I can see them, I see proof of what they do and we help each other. Deities, there is no proof of their existence, nor any proof of their non-existence. As for that, I just consider it an unproved equation and put my faith in the person standing next to me.
