If Adam and Eve hadn't eaten the fruit wouldn't we all (Well a small number of humans) still be living in the Garden of Eden nude eating berries?

If that is the perfect life that God planned out for humanity why do Christians not strive for this?

Why not take a section of wilderness, put a large wall around it, with machine gun turrets and a flaming sword and live forever in peace worshipping the almighty?

Let's get real about this...

"Adam and Eve" probably never had anything as good as a garden and fruit - isn't it much more likely that they were the most primitive of human beings and completely without the "divine protection" of "God" .... that whole story is just a lot of fantasy, isn't it?

But here we are in reality....

I wonder... wouldn't it be something for us to all take aim at the job of creating an "Earth-Eden" for every one of us to enjoy?

We have plenty of resources and plenty of space and plenty of people who might like living in peace for a change - besides, what else do we have to do with our time?

Praising fantasy-gods and waiting for a fantastic "life-after-death" doesn't quite seem to cut it, does it?

Actually everything God did plain will still happen, God's purpose can never be stopped only put off for a bit, first a day in Heaven is a thousand years on earth; 2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Now lets put this in perspective, 6 days ago mankind fell and Satan has been ruling this world to make him an Adam and Eve right now today, but God has been doing the same thing also for a big battle here on earth. Jesus Christ is Adam and the he has been asleep two days and we are about to have a 6th day show down that will get us right back on track into the new Paradise

According to logic and the teaching of the scriptures. You are right that if Adam and Eve did not partake of the fruit, they will still be in the Garden of Eden, and there is no human race, and the plans of God would be a total lost.

contrary to many thinks, life in the Garden of Eden is only a part of God's plan. Remember that ,before they eaten the fruit, their eyes were not open, they do not know right and wrong, in that state, they cannot learn to love or hate.

That is why they have to go through life, and learn , and to experience , otherwise human existence is pointless.

Earthlife is a time of trial, in which to prove our loyalty to God through our deeds and works. If we pass, then we can return to heaven where we use to be.

No, Adam and Eve were in a childlike, innocent state and never would have had children. They would still be there and none of us would have been born. If Adam and Eve did have children in that immortal state, then this world would really be over populated, wouldn't it? Considering all the people that have been born over the ages and all being immortal, unable to die.

Who said that was the perfect life that God planned out for humanity? That could not be further from the truth.

If you want to live in such a place, then go for it. I suspect that what you are really saying is that you wish all Bible believing people would do that.

Not going to happen.

Eating the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil is the first independent act by the human being in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve cannot be said to have been fully aware of the extent of their transgression because they did not yet have knowledge of good and evil. They do, however, know that God has told them explicitly not to eat of that tree. In that respect, they are like children, who may understand that certain behavior is expected but do not fully understand why.

Like any concerned parent, God wants his children to learn and accept responsibility for their actions, however painful it may be. Indeed, God has lovingly provided all the arrangements in the garden - a secure life, the edict against one tree -but also the capacity for free choice that will cause Adam and Eve to mature. He knows perfectly well where the humans are in the garden, but he asks his question, “Where are you?” to draw the story out of them and begin the process of moral development.

God becomes angry not so much at the act of disobedience but at Adams and Eve’s avoidance of responsibility. Significantly, the word SIN is not introduced into the Bible until later when Cain murders his brother, Abel. It seems that Adam and Eve’s worst transgression is their scapegoat, and the couples moral life will finally begin when they can acknowledge having done wrong.

we would all be perfect, never aging and never dying. I don't know about the nude part or the berries. We would have evolved like we have done, but done much greater deeds than we can ever imagine. However, as the Jesus said, the entire world is under the influence of the wicked one. There is nowhere we could go to build our own garden of eden as long as he is allowed to pull strings.
P.S. We could pull off the flaming sword though.

Before the fall, man was clothed with the Glory of God. It wasn't until after Adam committed hight treason and ate the forbidden fruit that they noticed that they were nude. But don't worry, in the future you're going to get your chance at that very very very nice nudist camp. Keep looking up.

Basically......yes. God had intended for life to be like it was in the Garden of Eden. Christians should be striving to bring 'heaven on earth'. In the garden of eden, everything was provided for and man walked in perfect harmony with God. Man messed it up, God sent Jesus to restore.

If Adam and Eave hadn't eaten from that fruit, the Satan would have gotten somebody else to do it. Constructing such a citadel may not be as good an idea as you may believe. Remember that there ARE people in the world who hate Christians, and will do anything in their power to destroy such a complex.

Adam and Eve aside, I can't wait until summer so I can sit in the woods naked eating berries. It's just too cold here right now.

To whoever gave that thumbs down: Don't be so uptight, strip off your clothes and go into the forest for a day, see how you like it. It is about as wholesome an experience you could want as long as you also leave your perversions outside the forest.
