Do not vaccinate a pregnant dog. Nursing dams can be vaccinated and that will protect nursing puppies a little more however it will also prolong the time period before the puppies develop full immunity from the shots the puppies receive. Make sure you have all your supplies, and that she is getting all the nutrients she needs. There may be some particular vitamin that you like, some breeders love certain ones, some don't like to give any extra.

Do NOT give shots to a pregnant dog.
Notify your vet that she will be whelping soon. It's a good idea to take her in for an x-ray so you have some idea how many puppies she will have. While you're there consult with the vet on what you need to know and signs of an emergency.

You should go see your vet she will tell you what shots you need. You might wanna get toys, a bed or crate for the pups, blankets, puppy food, or a milk formula in case the mother can't make milk. Make sure that the pups don't crawl away from there mother or the might freeze to death. Make sure you let the mother have an interaction with the pups. Maybe place an ad for adoption and thoroughly interview people.

If she's 2 months pregnant she's about ready to pop. Gestation in dogs only lasts between 58 and 65 days.
Do NOT vaccinate a pregnant dog or give her any other kinds of shots. Doing so may damage the developing pups. Just keep her well-fed and make sure she has plenty of water available to her. If you have any other questions, you can e-mail us.

If she's two months along - then she'll be having the puppies any day.
Canine gestation is 63 days - no "If's - And's - or But's!"
Unlike humans - she will have her babies on time.
You didn't mention what breed she is - but some breeds need C-Sections or mother & puppies will die.
If they are a breed with large heads - such as chihuahuas or bulldogs - you had better be prepared to schedule a C-Section.
You need to start taking her temp immediately - dog's normal temp is higher than ours - around 100.5.
As soon as her temp drops down to around human temp - 98 - 99 degrees - she will have her puppies within 24 hours.
You need to look up canine whelping on line & get all the directions.

They have birth in nature all the time without help. Although I would recommend having a nice soft (clean!) place for her to give birth. Watch some of those T.V. shows on animal planet that show domestic dogs giving birth. Better yet, talk to your vet!

No, but a trip to the vet just for a checkup is always a good idea, just to make sure everything is going along fine.
When she is close to giving birth, provide her with a box lined with towels in a quiet corner for her to give birth in.

I think they pretty much do it on their own. Provide a bed in a quiet place for her so she can give birth there.
