An oblong head shape is more of a rectangle shape - so is your head oblong, round, or oval?- they're all very different in the ways to correct their faults. Oval is the ideal face shape, which means pretty much any style will work. Round faces do better with more asymetrical styles and hair towards your face can help to conceal overly round cheeks. Oblong shapes benefit from styles with height to draw attention away from a strong, wide jaw.
