The reversed cross, also known as the cross of St. Peter, has also been used as an emblem of Satanism, although more often by non-satanists than believers. Historically, it has been a symbol of humility, a symbol of Martyred St. Peter's refusal to be crucified in the manner of Christ, preferring to be hung upside down.

It can either represent anti-Christian beliefs, or the apostle who chose to be crucified upside down. he did not feel worthy to die in the same manner as Jesus Christ, so he is now represented with an upside down cross - I forgot which one it is.

Just guessing, cross of St Peter? He requested to be crucified upside down because he felt he was not worthy to be crucified like The Master.
I Cr 13;8a

I think usually if it is used for satanic purposes it is both upside down and broken.

and upside down cross represents far too many religious contexts to be considered a symbol of atheism. It originally came into play with Christianity when they absorbed a pagan religion into their fold and created the myth of one of the Saints being crucified upside down...Saint Peter I believe. Then later it became a symbol of witchcraft and Satan worship...through ignorance mostly. so no..you don't want that.

The inverted cross is the symbol of St. Peter.

When Peter was to be crucified, he didn't feel right being executed in the same manner as the Lord, so he requested to be crucified upside down.

Somewhere along the lines Satanists began using it as a representation of anti Christiandom or fallen grace... but it was originally meant to signify St. Peter...

It's the Cross of Saint Peter. Peter was crucified upside down. He requested this himself, because he believed that he was not worthy to be crucified in the same manner as Jesus Christ.

I think it is just a way of disrespecting the cross, as in an 'upright' cross is the way it is normally portrayed. So reversing it and turning it upside down is a way of dishonoring it.
