I think staying at home and make something she likes and doesn't get to eat often for dinner. It would be nice to spend a quality time with the birthday child and then on Friday let them all enjoy the child's birthday party.

The party on Friday will (presumably) be for 'everybody'.
It might be nice to just stay home and focus on her this evening, don't you think? She will have lots of McDonalds days in her life.
Think about making today a family day.

i say hamburgers at home because you are still taking her out on Friday. The cake will probably really excite her. Happy Birthday

Make her a special meal at home.
1. If her favorite color is orange you make her like mac and cheese, cheetos, orange soda, chicken nuggets... stuff like that.
2. Let her eat wherever she wants. If she wants to eat in the bathroom, then so be it.
3. Maybe have like a dinner party with you and your spouse, and her. Let her dress up and then light candles and have a really nice dinner.

I definately think Mc Donalds. Its her birthday let her have a treat. I remeber as a child that I loved it when my parents took me out on my Birthday. She only turns four once. so I'd definately, even though she has other plans for her birthday, go with McDonalds

You're already having a party for her - @ Chuck E Cheese. Make that be the one where you take her out to dinner, and have her pick her favorite home cooked dinner for tonight.

How about just making her favorite dinner at home, something like mac and cheese or spaghetti and meatballs?

i have always asked my kids what they want on their birthday, and they get to do just that (within reason, no ponies in my back yard!). sometimes when they are young like yours, too much going on is overwhelming for them, you might think its exciting, but they dont. i think any kid would enjoy helping you make a special dinner in your kitchen.

If this is the family birthday day...I would ask her.....granted she is probly going to say McDonalds, but let her choose....it is her day....at 4 years old she can do that....or if you want to stay home...ask her what she wants.....Ask her where she wants to eat....
