I have about 4-5 hens and 1 rooster in my hen house. I keep finding my hens with holes chewed out on thier back. Is the rooster doing this??? Thanks.

This is most lkely from the rooster mounting your hens to fertilize eggs.
It is normal. If they get to bad take the rooster away from the hens so their backs will heal

The rooster may be the culprit. When a rooster mounts a female, he sits on her back and holds the skin on her neck (or between the shoulder blades) with his beak while he treads on her. We suggest keeping him separate from the hens to see if the hens wounds heel up. If the hens heal up, then you'll know he was doing the damage.
If its not the rooster, it may be rats.

Its the rooster doing this. They have a bad habit of doing this. Keep them away from each other, unless you want to have fertile eggs.
