My great grandma just passed away, and its hard on my mom. But today, I was cleaning around the house, and my mom needed me to vaccume. So I kindly said,"Hold on I'm putting something away." And then I went over to her to see what else she needed and she hit me with a clothes hanger. She is not an abusive mom at all, but I have a feeling she is taking this out on me, and I'm being as nice as I can. Please help, I dont want 2 get hit anymore!

Just say to your mom, that you know that she is under a lot of stress right now, because you are also, but it hurts me more then you know when you hit me! Ask her can we try and get on better, and talk about things, so we can try and work it out!

It sounds like your mom is grieving, and could possibly be depressed. If this is the first time she has treated you this way by hitting you with a clothes hanger, it is most likely your grandmothers death has been very stressful and upsetting to her. This is not an excuse to treat you in an abusive manner in any way. Is your father around? Can you talk to him ,or another family relative about your moms sudden change in behavior? If not maybe a teacher or councilor at school, or an adult that you trust. Possibly your pastor, or your best Friends mom or your moms best friend. If your moms behavior gets worse, you need to tell someone right away, because you must be grieving the loss of your grandmother also, and there are places that offer grief as well as general counseling, such as your church or community services. You can find community service outreach programs in your phone book.
If your mom continues to hit you , you must tell someone, for your own safety and for your mom to get the help she needs.
Good Luck, my heart goes out to you, I"m so sorry for your loss, and for what you are going through. Please believe me there are people out there that care about you and your mom. Please try and find someone to talk to. An adult you trust.
