It saddens me that so many feel that God hates them. That they have a creator who despises them, and wishes them harm and pain. Those who feel like this (or something like it), where is this feeling of hatred coming from for you PERSONALLY?

*Please no generalities about the "disasters in the world, etc." Please respond from your personal life and experience with life.

I'm an atheist, so I don't believe in a god now, but at one time I was a believer. I read the Bible several times, and found it extremely disturbing. God was NOT a nice guy. He wasn't even nice to good people, nor was He nice to people who worshiped Him exactly as He told them to. I had a hard time reconciling the God from the Bible with the God that I was being told "loved" me so much.

I do not believe that they feel hatred coming from God,it is more like their own anger and frustration that lies deep within and so they cannot know inner peace, this is a vicious circle that can only be broken by conversion to Christ.

I personally don't know anyone that feels God hates them. I would venture to say that there are probably some people cowering in some church somewhere in Darfur wondering why God wont save them.

Just like the people in Rwanda 1993 were cowering in churches waiting for God to save them.

May they rest in peace.

Its not God where they feel this so called hatred.God only hates one thing and that's sin. The punishment of sin is death, eternal separation from God, if God is love and peace then separation from him is hate and confusion.

Your question is fundamentally flawed. God does not hate people, only the sins they do.

I don't hate god. I hate god's followers. Why? Who knows, but I doubt I'll ever stop.

I've often wondered if our definition of 'love' is the same definition God has of 'love'.
