Their mission is not to kill americans. Do not be persuaded by the media showing you these extremists blowing up themselves for their religion they do not represent the whole religion but a version.

I don't think it's Islamic beliefs we have a problem with. We have a problem with the actions by many Islamic Governments, Mullahs, terror groups, and practisioners. I want to klnow when the silent Islamic majority is going to speak up and take action.
So far....every Islamic government that I can think of either is at war with, or funds terrorist groups/Governments at war with....non-believers.
Why is that?
Why do I heard Islamic "moderates" criticize Israel...but I NEVER hear them mention what Iran, Egypt, and Syria did to their Jews in 48?
Why do I hear about a bridge being built to a Mosque, but not the Jewish culture being callously destroyed by Islamic religious figures in charge of that mosque?
Why don't I ever hear a Muslim say it was wrong for Islam to prevent Jews from praying at the western wall prior to their seizure of Jerusalem?
Why do I hear Islam condemn an idiotic cartoonist from Denmark, but never their media which denies the holocaust?
Am I condemning what Islam thinks...or what it does?
The ball is on "moderate" Islam's court.
If it wants acceptance...they have to clean up their mess.

Because some Islamic beliefs go against everything Americans are brought up to believe in. Don't forget that a portion of Americans don't really know all the Islamic beliefs, only what people tell them

as Islam is spreading at faster and faster rates across north America, the Americans will be learning more and more about Islam. which can only be a good thing. i for one did not judge the Christians based on the IRA bombing attacks or the basque separatist bombing attacks, or for the pope not to openly condemn the nazi's during ww2, or Oklahoma bombing, i had an open mind, and still do. for me Islam has liberated and set me free. peace hope you find what your looking for

One belief in particular I have a problem with. The belief that the western media made up all the videos of beheadings and suicide bombings, etc.etc. and that Islam is peaceful.

Why do Islamic beliefs have a problem with America.....The US have not done anything to these people. Their own dictators are the ones who make them suffer.

The same reason some Iraqis have problems with Bush's foreign policy --
same reason some Jews have a problem with antisemitism
same reason some women have a problem with misogyny.
People are unlikely to think positively of an ideology that is used to attack them.

...because they fear what they do not know or understand.
For me, a devout Catholic, I love the Islamic faith. It is very beautiful and it IS a religion of peace. I can say that because I did bother to put time and effort into learning about it.
Sure, a few crackpots have hijacked parts of it but overall, most Muslims are very peaceable.
Incidentally, most of what I do know about Islam I read in a book by a Catholic priest who started and directs the Center for Catholic-Islamic Understanding at Georgetown University.

Because they don't know Islalmic beliefs. They have problems if someone isn't doing the same belief of their denomination.

no it isn't ignorance and fear....it is simply that we see it for what it is and we want no part of it....we never have, long ago we rejected it and we still reject it....it is a religion filled with hate...but what is so funny about it , is the ones who follow it always state it is a religion filled with peace....but that is not what is ever shown with Islams...even the quran is filled with hate towards all that reject it......we watch you and see exactly what you truly are and we reject your religion.....to me islam tries to represent itself as one thing and is truly not that, but a religion filled with deception.....mainly islam trying to deceive the world into thinking you care about those who dont beleive as you do....you hate americans and want only for all of them ot be destroyed....
