By armed guard, I meant as in a prison camp, like the Japanese during WWII or at a penitentiary.

The answers fall into a couple of general camps, with a small number of unalligned responses. For fun's sake, I'm going to put this question to a vote.

You can pay off an armed guard.

God, not man, judges, so we should not live in fear. We live our life and trust God will do the rest. We are talking about something that happens after we die. Call it a hope.

Living under armed guard means your physical space is limited by man for whatever reason. This is man's judgment against man's laws.

Are you seriously comparing the two? God is spirit and man is body, mind and spirit. Do you think the armed guard limits your mind or spirit?

The armed guard can't know every detail about you. Can't follow you forever. Death can bring your escape from an armed guard. The fear of the judgment of the Creator follows to the afterlife.

A God-fearing individual is one that may no longer petrified of God in any respect. they only think of they might do regardless of they prefer; no count if that is sturdy or undesirable and don't care what God thinks. a individual who's petrified of God will save on together with his commandants, love him, and care approximately each little thing; they'll do each little thing they might to delight God and be greater like him. The greater you concern God the nearer you will develop into with him.

The armed guard gives you a false sense of security.

JFK had an armed guard and so did Reagan. Did not stop either of them from getting shot.

You shouldn't fear god, fearing god is like fearing a loveing father. If you do then read the book of job in the bible. Also read about moses and how he freed his people from egypt. Clearly you will see gods glory and might in all of his wonders. One more thing fear of god means to respect and be in awe. Also fear of gods judgement only applies to those who are still dead in thier sins because they have rejected Jesus Christ salvation. A man named Whatchman Nee is also a good reference. He lived under armed gaurds in china for 20 years and served under god with all of his heart. You can find his books at borders books and music, or any book store you can order from. I will pray for you. We live under gods grace.

Well for one thing the armed guard shall have no love for you.
However, the Lord God loves all his children. Even those who claim they do not know him or say there is no God.
Gods judgment will be just and fair. He cries out to the lost lambs who have wandered away from him.
Do not live in fear of Gods judgment. He has offered us pardon to enter His kingdom. Accept the Lord Jesus as your savior and honestly repent of your sins and turn from them.
(I apologize, this has turned into a sermon! Well, go in peace and serve the Lord!)

Aaron, you must understand that the reason there are laws is that God cannot allow His justice to be absolute and true. He proves his love for us by offering His son to die in our place.
Think of it this way. You die and go to God for your judgment. God is the ultimate judge and he sees all your sins. By His law he must condemn you to hell. However, in comes Jesus and tell the judge to let you go for He (Jesus) had paid the fine for you life.
Remember that the Lord God is your father and He considers you one of His children.

The armed guard and his weapon are visible, they're right there for you to see. You know they're real. God and his judgement are imaginary. Nobody has ever seen either one, or ever will.

The armed guard may shoot you now. God's judgment gets you AFTER you die.

You're much safer living with a healthy fear of God. Give him the respect he deserves, and he will watch out for you.

Fear of God is supposed to come out of your love for Him. I doubt very seriously you'd love an armed guard.
