That's not a guy who I'd want to get involved with,
I'd think that he only introduced himself because he found me physically attractive and that's nice.. but all he wants to do is sleep with me. No thanks!
I'd think that he probably introduces himself to all kinds of women like that and he's probably got diseases and other girlfriends, etc, etc..
Your girlfriend is just saying that she'd flirt with you on the subway because she already knows and loves you. I bet she's never flirted with anyone on the train before.
Take it as a compliment that she is saying this.. She finds you sexy and that's why she's saying that.
Next time you have sex, pretend you're on a subway but don't know eachother.. haha it could get very hot! ;)

I live in the South, and we are just different than people in other parts of the country. I spent some time in New York this past summer, and I just chatted away on the subway to anybody in earshot, until my daughter pointed out that NO ONE spoke back to me!!! It was only then that I realized that no one was speaking to each other!
Here, we always chat and speak, and if there are 5 people on a bus or train, we will sit together and talk. Hell, we are probably all related somehow!
But to answer your question --
If I was on a train with a Hottie Guy -- you'd better believe I'd be ON IT!!!!

Personally, I agree with you. The last time i was on a subway, I kept my purse as close to me as I could and pretty much avoided all contact with anyone around me. But then again that could just be me, I'm not a big fan of public transportation.

I would think they wouldn't like this type of situations simply because of all the hype about thier being wierdo's on the train/subway.

I've been approached on the bus before. It is mildly freaky when you've never seen the guy before, but once it's happened to you a couple of times, you get used to it.

uh it would be a little creepy just because of the things that people do today when they trust someone they dont know... but if you dont look like someone creepy (homeless, drunk, drugged, etc) then maybe not. it all depends
