No, Kidney stones are caused from iron and calcium, I had one in the past and the Dr. advised me to quit drinking soda pop, because most people that develop them get them again.

it does cause your kidneys to work overtime - to get the excess protein out

if you are prone to having kidney stones - eat a pear at night
the acid in them is known to help both kidney and gallstones
