Depends who asked whom out. If you invite, you pay. The other person should always leave the tip, though.

It depends on the level of the date. Are youjust 2 good friends going out together for a casual dinner date? If so, then yes, you both should pay-it is the polite thing to do. However, if this is a girl you are romantically interested in, well, expecting her to pay is not typical and actually not very nice either. Afterall, you asked her out. If she had asked you out then she should also pay for the whole date as well.
If the both of you enter into an actual exclusive dating relationship then yes, you both could pay, or take turns paying the full tab or share the tab. Even if you are out on your first few dates and she offers to pay, if I were you, I would say thank you, but no.
She will respect and appreciate you more for picking up the tab on the first few dates and not expecting her to do so. Plus, if she is someone you really are interested in, isn't she worth it?

I think that should be established before the date. Yes, I think girls should also pay. Just a date to go have some fun with a freind should be dutch. Unless the guy says he is paying before hand it should not be assumed he pays for aeverything.

Both partners should take turns to pay on alternating dates. The partner who has chosen the establishment should be the one who "takes the other one out" and pays.

I think it depends on where the relationship is. If you have been going out for a long time then I would say you should get it but if it's still new I think it would be ok to pay your own.

I ALWAYS think a guy should pay on a dinner date. But if you are going to see a movie, the guy should pay for the tickets, and the girl should pay for the snacks.

If a couple has been together for a looong time, and the girl occasionally wants to treat her man, that is cool. A man should be expected to take care of the check no matter who has the better job or how independent the partners are. Its just the right thing to do.

if it's a first date situation, it's assumed that they guy will pay, unless they mutually decide to go dutch before the date. if the two are in a relationship and are both employed, they should take turns buying.

Yes---unless you're really trying to make an impression. But if you go out with the same person on a regular basis, you should share expenses.
