130... wow... try over 3,000 american deaths in a war that most of the American people don't want to be in, so we understand where your coming from...we understand almost 30 times more where you are coming from... so how bout your puppet prime minister talks to our stubborn talking head president... and work out a sensible solution, instead of the illogical ones that have been being used... but you should really look into what your troops have been doing in afghanistan they have been taking casualties there also.... as a matter of fact i think the brits are running most of the operation over there now!

That is a tough question. Not just for UK, but US as well. Leaving without finishing the job would be an injustice to those that have died. Staying to finished a possible unfinishable job will be an injustice to those who are going to die. I like to finish what I start. I do not like to lose. However, we have to look at the big picture here. We cannot allow our troops to continue to be targets. We need an agenda to finish this war. Iraq needs to be held accountable for defending themselves. But it isn't so much about their defense as it is our soldier's defense. As long as UK and US troops are present, every want-to-be terrorist will be gunning for them. It is no longer about freeing Iraq, it is about our troops surviving. We need a plan to defend our troops and bring an end to this. We do not have an army to attack. We do have a country to overrun. We do not have generals and officers to negotiate a surrender. So who are we fighting. If we leave it to Iraq, the Iraqi government will surrender all authority to some terrorist dictator and then what will all this have been for. We owe it to the Iraqi people not to abandon them. Unless we attack and wipe out all traces of terrorist and the nations that support them, this war will not end.

I think it will take many years before the UK leaves. The thing is that I've noticed some british troops are being relieved by the US troops but I feel if Blair has committed our troops to the cause then they should finish the job.

Terrorism will never be defeated and as a result there will always be a need for troops in iraq.

IMHO, we might take the gloves off, go to where we know the insurgents live and kill them and their families. The one truest item of warfare is that if all your enemy is dead, you have won.
