I'm really worried about my boyfriend, he said that at 5am yesterday 5am he started coughing up blood and throwing up, and that later at school he fainted. He's also got depression and he was really down, I was hoping there was someone here who could tell me what might be wrong with him. I keep telling him to see a doctor but he said it was just a coughing fit.
I'm really worried, any idea if he's got some kind of illness?

Could be an ulcer. Coughing/throwing up blood could mean it's pretty advanced.

well if he is coughing up blood and throwing up he could have tear in the esophagus and the lining of the stomach which could cause eternal bleeding from the inside which should be seen by a doctor immediately so they could recommend him to a specialist which is called a neurologist

The blood is cause for alarm. It could be caused by number of different situations, all of them bad. Worse, it could be contagious - you may have already begun to develop problems yourself. It could be tuberculosis - TB. You both need to see a doctor and the sooner the better. If he won't go, go for yourself. No use two of you dying, is there?

You should really get him to the doctor because if he's coughing up blood that could mean a lot of things. he could have something stuck somewhere in his esophogus or he could have a tear in his esophogus. then again it could be something really minor that some antibiotics will fix. either way get him to the doctors soon!

Coughing up blood is NEVER good. He needs to see a doctor immediately.

it sounds like a lung problem to me. breathing problems can lead to dizziness, naseau and vomiting blood. he needs to see a doctor because it is serious to be coughing up blood in large amounts.

It could be TB, or could be a number of things. Please have him see the doctor ASAP. Anything in your system that bleeds is a sign of an infection and definitely needs attention.

If he is smoking tell him to stop oytherwise go to a Dr he may have TB GO TO A DR OR ER ASAP
