I've seen this BBQ place on the FoodNetwork a couple of times. I know it's near Austin, but I am unsure where it's located exactly. If anyone knows please tell me, I am going on vacation to Austin next month! I LOVE BBQ! And I've heard it's the best!

From Downtown Austin
Follow South Lamar Blvd. to highway 290 West. At the "Y" in Oak Hill stay left, continuing on Highway 290 west towards Fredericksburg. At the third light, turn left onto FM 1826. Drive 13 miles to the Salt Lick.
It is really good bbq, but they have the MOST ridiculous parking lot security..that are on a bit of a control binge.
It's also nice because they let you bring your own bottle, in fact they encourage it(: Have fun, the hill country is great, you should stop by wimberley while your up there.

Cooper's Pit Bar B Que in Llano, Texas is better. I have tried them both and Cooper's is undoubtedly the best. But Llano is another hour and a half northwest of Austin.

As I remember, it is outside of Austin (I saw the show, too). I want to say it is in the oddly-named town of Driftwood (200 miles from the Gulf), which is south and west of Austin.

It's fairly south. Out of of Hwy 290 heading towards Dripping Springs. They have a great website you can look at.

I'm not sure of the address, but it is on FM2222 between Hwy620 and loop363. It's kind of in the country. Enjoy!
