Starting to suspect that my car is not the original paint as I was led to believe.

No. Color is not captured on the VIN. Under the hood there should be several plates riveted in place, perhaps the routing of the various vacuum hoses, information about the settings and what your A/C uses, and another that will give paint codes. Find those paint codes and ask the dealer what colors they were. (or, for you. colours. *grin*)

Most cars have a separate id tag for paint code. Most are located
on the drivers door jam, right below the latch. However different
manufactures put them in other places like the trunk lid. You will
have to call your dealor and ask them if U cannot find it. Best bet
would be simply drive the car to the dealor and they will let U
know in about 5 to 10 minutes.

there should be a metal plate under the hood or on the trunk lid that will give the paint code for your car, if you can't find it take your car to a body shop and they will find it for you.

Yes. there is.

This information is found on record when you go on CARFAX and plug-in the VIN.

If you give me the VIN I can tell you what color it originally was. Give me your email addy and I'll do that for you.
