1. Proactive has been known to cause MORE problems. I used to use Clinique but that was like 5 steps. Then I found a one step thing from L'Oreal (because i'm worth it) called Ideal Balance Foaming Cream Cleanser and that really help dry my oily face up and clear my skin. Also, Tea Tree Oil works miracles. Just put a little on a Q-Tip and stick it on a pimple. Purely, it might burn and you wash it off, but the temporary contact will help. Or you can get it in stick form purely for helping acne and you can just leave that on.
2. Proactive only helps for certain types of acne. If you have the wrong type for your skin it WILL cause problems. Check the bottle if it's for oily skin, dry skin (ect.)
You will also need to wash your face every morning and night. I use Dermaligica. Try asking your self these questions to see whether you should get rid of proactive:
1. Did I use it regularly?
2. Is it for my skin type?
3. Is it causing me rashes?
4. Is there proactive creams for my skin type?
5. Whats my skin type?
To find out your skin type or what kind of proactive you should use go to a mall some times they will have proactive stands and someone will help you there. Sometimes proactive is just not good for you.

Sounds like you're doing everything typical to clear up your skin and keeping up with a good routine so if you are still having problems after all of that go see a dermatologist there may be something they can perscribe or give tips on that you just can't do at home with over the counter products. Especially if Pro-Active hasn't worked for you I'd swear by that stuff myself but everyone is different!

If nothing works you should go to a Dermatologist. Especially if the pro Active didn't work. I use face wash in the shower that has exfoliating beads. This helps, also, just picking at your face and washing your hands wont do. You have to remind your self not to touch your face at all. I Had that problem. I always have my hands on my face, and that make my zits flourish. Dint wear hats everyday either

Try eatting healthier, I notice when I eat alot of greasy food or fast food my face breaks out. Wash your face every night probably will help. I use neutrogena rapid clear, it helps visibly reduce blemishes in 8 hours. If one of them is really red I will put that on there and it helps make it less red or inflammed. Also clearasil ultra vanishing cream works really good it kind of makes them like little scabs and if you don't pick at them your alright, but it usually makes most of it look visible in 3 days and doesn't cost that much I think $10 dollars but don't remember. It lasts a long time.

Seems that you have quite a bad acne breakout. Ok, here's my advice. See your family doctor first for some help. Acne breakouts can be due to a lot of factors: food, puberty & etc. You need to know that everyone's skin is different, so some products might not work for you coz your skin doesn't react to such product. Forget about ProActive coz it's a general product that is being sold on Sell-A-Vision, not worth your money, might work for others but not for you. Since you already said that it didn't work, don't use it anymore. Food that you eat might affect your breakout as well, so do take note what food you ate might have caused it. Next, drink loads of water, at least 2 litres a day. Sounds a lot but you need to detox your body & hydrate your body. Afterall, skin is the largest organ on human body. You know that you're not supposed to pick at your face, so that's a thumbs up for you. Washing before going to bed is important but you need to wash it in the morning as well as after vigorous activity. Sweat carries impurities as well, don't let your sweat remain on your face till night time comes. Besides washing, you need to tone your face coz washing doesn't remove the impurities entirely. You need to wash, tone & moisturize. For moisturize, you need to find something that's suitable for your face. Ask the doctor to identify your skin problem: dry, oily, oily & sensitive & etc. Through identifying what's your skin type then you can go ahead & purchase the suitable facial cleanser, toner & moisturizer for yourself. One more thing: I know that someone has recommended you to try Benzol Peroxide but trust me, it doesn't work coz I used it before. It works for a day but lost its function the next. Remember that as you age, your skin will age with you too, so at different stages of life, you need to change your cleanser & can't stick to one cleanser system. The most basic thing that you can do now is to see your family doctor and if it's really serious, then see a dermatologist who can help you further but do bear in mind it's gonna cost you money. Maintaining one's beauty is never cheap, so do think twice before you purchase any products & make sure it works for you. No point getting something that doesn't work. As for me, I visit my beautician once a month to get facial, it's doing pretty much ok but if you want to get facial, do check with your doctor or dermatologist if you're able to do it coz you don't want to further damage your skin. Lastly, personal hygiene is important, not just your face but the entire self as well.

Try to relax more,
Stress causes acnee.
Also lay off sugar.
I dont know how old you are,
But its probally just puberty,
Wait for your hormones to quit actiing up so much,
And it should go away with time.
But remember still to keep a good routine of washing your face daliy.
Twice daily...

u might need accutane, ask your dermatolgist and make sure they always conduct blood, liver testing during the course of taking accutane...just to be catious, in most cases its totally safe
and watch ur diet, some doctors say that what u eat doest have anything to do with acne but it does, things like chocolates, nuts, and foods high fats
