I definitely think it would be wise to require all expectant parents to attend parenting classes before the fact. There are too many people out there who have no clue how to raise themselves let alone another human being. There are some people that should just never have children, but these are the ones who seem to reproduce most often. The state can take your child away if you can't care for them or harm them, why should they wait that see if someone COULD be a good parent, think of the number of children that could have been saved from abuse or neglect if that parents' abilities were checked earlier. It's amazing and sad and yes it would give the government more authority than they should have over personal decisions like child rearing, but it just seems there are so many useless parents out there and it could have been avoided. I don't know what the answer is I'm sorry to say.

I say things like " Some people just shouldn't have kids" all the time. I am a good mom, I have well adjusted children, but I'm sure there are people out there that would differ. I spank my kids when needed and some people might say that is abusive and that I shouldn't' do that. Or some people might say that they are spoiled and they need to be spanked more.... To answer the question: No simply because it would be impossible to police it. Just like anything else. Maybe someday when the world is as close to perfect as it can get no one will be hurt especially children.

Although it sounds like a good idea it just is not practical...and just because someone has a license to do something does not mean that they are good at it(many many people have drivers licenses but are very very bad drivers)
Also there are some people out there that believe they are ready for a family only to realize a couple of years later that they aren't and walk out on their family. Having a license would not prevent this in any way.

I would agree to a point. I deal with children who are wards of the state and seeing what their parents have done / gone through, this is where I would say yes...especially when the child isn't the first born and none of the others are still in the house hold. The point that I have to say no, is that there are so many young girls (not just teenagers) who find themselves in this situation and don't know what to do / don't have that motherly instinct...etc. It could go either way...and I have opinions on both...it just depends on the circumstance and the parent's that you are dealing with...young mother vs drug addict!

Although your a very concerned parent, there will always be one's that aren't. Whether you should or shouldn't have a license isn't the case and will never happen. There will always be people having babies that just don't care about them or just people watching babies that don't acre about them. It is so sad, but the cycle will never end. It just forcesus to do the best we can with our own and hopefully influence those around us.
I am sure you share the same veiw as millions of parents out there. Just being a good parent that's all.

No. there is not any regulation to tension women persons to tell a guy if she has conceived a baby from greater-marital (or on the area) intercourse. The well-being practitioner keeps it quiet and so do different 'experts'. Who includes help of stay-at-domicile fathers while a girl abandons a family individuals? Paternity purely makes use of DNA to witch-hunt adult men, whether there are b****** fathers accessible who do no longer make contributions.

You need a licence to own a gun, and yet a registered gun owner, with a registered gun pull the gun on a group of Hell's Angels working security at a rock concert. He didn't survive.
You need a licence to drive a car, people drive drunk. People drive stupidly. I even saw a guy driving a car with no door handles so they had to hold the door closed (I guess they didn't have any rope or bungee cords either) and would let it fall open at red lights. AND he had bags and bags of stuff at his feet (this is the driver, remember) that kept almost falling out.
Licencing doesn't make people smarter, or better.

No, this America. What next? Telling people how many kids they can have? How to dress them? What values to instill? Having and raising children is a private family matter and should remain that way.
