I'd look into a spiral perm if you really want one. They position the curlers vertically rather than horizontally!

If you have always wanted on then you should do it! I got mine permed a while back and i did't like it so much for the first few weeks... but once it wasn't so tight anymore i loved it!! i could do so much with my hair curly! and if you do and don't like it.... just invest in a straightener till the perm wears out

well if you love your natural hair then why keep doing the straight look?. Personally I think curls are gorgeous so if I were you I would get the curly perm

Sure if it is what you want. I have a perm and have always loved having curly hair. Just make sure you take care of it or it can look horrible.

Personally I prefer straight hair. It seems you have some reservations, because you are asking complete web strangers for advice. Are you absolutely sure you want this?

Well, if you want.
But if your hair is already beautiful, there are some consequences.
My mom got one, and hates it. She straightens it everyday, just about, and she already had GORGEOUS, thick ,non-frizz, straight hair. Now, it's none of that. And it ruined her hair.
Suit Yourself.
