No, I don't agree with you. Liquids are taken so that explosive mixtures cannot be made on board by terrorists or other idiots. It is one way the federal government is trying to protect us and anyone who has a problem with it shouldn't fly. I try to minimize any potential problems when I fly, such as wearing slip-on shoes (since all shoes now go through the x-ray machine), taking off any outer clothing (jackets, sweaters) before entering the x-ray line, and being polite. TSA is only doing their jobs, which is to keep us safe, so why be a pain in their necks and show irritation about things like water bottles or shoe removal? It's stupid because you aren't going to get your way AND you may be delayed so that you can be searched. It's not worth it. Just do what you're told and deal with it. Unfortunately those of us who would never think of putting anyone else in harm's way have to suffer because of some terrorist fools.

Aloha :)

It's an example of a well meaning policy that, if you think about it, doesn't make sense.

In case you're not aware, the base of this was when they caught some people bringing gel-based explosives on a plane. So, to combat this, they say "no liquids."

However, they let you have SOME. Enough that if just 5 or 6 people brought on the limit, they could still create a weapon.

Never mind that I can easily bring on board such things disguised as a laptop battery.

By the way, anyone I can get you to actually write out words to "to" (not "2") and "you" (not "u")? It'll make you look more educated.

no i dont agree - It s because of the terrorism threat that is esculating now over here - in the uk back in August 06 there were a load of islamic terror suspects who tried to board a plane with a 6 month old baby - in the baby's bottle was a false lining which contained a high level of peroxide to blow up a plane heading to the states with hundreds of people on board - there were also coke bottles and mineral water bottles containing these high explosives - eventually the british police force who had been working on intelligence found other terror suspects who had been plotting to blow up buildings and planes in the uk and america and who were willing to sacrifice their own babies lives to do so. At the end of the day the bombers are willing to do anything to blow innocent people up and if it means no liquids on board then for my safety and others im happy with that - its the sign of the times now - and i dont see why people should moan and complain - OH AND CAN I ADD TO ''JAYS'' COMMENT when you do take liquids on board (what little youa re allowed) YOU HAVE TO DRINK SOME OF IT TO PROOVE it is what is should be and not a liquid bomb

I don't agree with you.

Most likely the places you go to (whether it be a hotel or a friends place) they will have liquid (shaving cream, hairspray, shampoo, etc) supplies for you to have. If not there will be a Target or like store nearby where you can go to their travel area and get some cheapo travel stuff.

I'd rather spend an extra dollar or two doing that instead of being blown to bits because some guy mixed two fluids and blew the plane up.

Because the person may be transporting an explosive component in the container. For instance they could pour out the shampoo from the shampoo bottle & ad some kind of bomb makeing liquid in order to make a bomb on the plane.I disagree because some one has already been arrested for trying to make a bomb this way.

No. It's only when knot heads think they can flaunt the regulations & then whine & moan when their stuff is taken away does it become a waste of time and huge annoyance to anyone behind them who have complied w/the regs.
