Johnsons holiday skin is designed to use everyday after the shower but i'd say every second day is enough. Don't pile it on. Apply a small layer first and rub it in well as it can sometimes streak. It will take a few days till you notice a colour. There is a tube of Johnsons holiday skin designed for use on your face - the same price.
I have used it and was pleased with the the results but i'v recently tried the Tesco brand skin wisdom - tinted body lotion and I find it amazing. The colour is so gorgeous and natural. I will never try another! : )

U could try a product by Jergens called natural glow. it comes in light, medium, and dark. I have a tanned skin tone and I use the dark. You can apply it everyday like lotion. You will see results after the first couple of hours. It really works well on the face also. If u don't like the way it looks u could always scrub it off with salt and lemon juice.

Hi I use nivea sray oil and have been using it for years. I have a very white complexion and this just works wonders, even used it on my wedding day. Used it on my face but to a lesser extent. The best thing to do is to use a small amount to start with and wait a day or two to see the effects, if you are happy apply more and go darker, I put a bit behind my ear as it wouldn't be too noticable if it was awful to look at, it gave me an idea of how it was going to look. Besides they are all temp, so if it does go horribly worng at least it isn't permenant you just look like a tit for a few days, (I know cause I have). I used to reapply every four days as it started going patchy and fading. I used to scrub and take it back to as white as possible every time too just to make sure the patches didn't show through. If it is for a special occasion go to your local beautitcian and get them to spray you, its cheap looks great and at least you know there is a slim chance it will go wrong. Good luck

I use bronze gelee by Clairins. I use it all the time on my face. Try applying it and leave it for a few hours then wash your face. The greasy feel will be gone, but the pigments that dye your skin have time to penetrate the upper dermal layers, so you will get a slight tint. It smells nice and won't leave you with that lovely orange glow you talk about. Try it and if the color feels unnatural to you, you can always cover with a little mineral makeup in a lighter shade.

Johnson's and Jergins are great to use. Apply everyday. If you shower at night, wait till the next morning to apply. If you shower in the morning, apply right after. If you do so in the morning, put it on your face. You dont have to worry about it turning orange if you buy the Jergins face loction toner. It works wonders! Although if you have oily or sensitive skin, you might want to reconsider.

I can never get fake tan to work properly so i suggest that you either go get a natural tan or make the most of you rnatural skin tone. NEVER put fake tan on your face unless its designed to go there!

There's a really natural looking one that is called Fake Bake. You can get it at sephora. There are separate facial ones, and it shouldn't go orange if you apply little amounts at a time.

None of them have a natural look.

They all make you look orange.
