Can anyone tell me what streaming video means? I read it in my webcam book.

Thankyou.

Basically, it's video getting sent to your computer and "streamed" as you watch, instead of downloading a file, opening it and watching it. As for your cam, it does play in real time, but there will always be a lag time of a second or so, it's normal. Hope this helps!

Television set is produced to the cheapest common denominator - i.e., the common IQ of everyone, whereas a reserve is written to the best common denominator

Means that video, audio, or both are being sent from one location (that can be anything from a electronic or digital device to a remote server/ website) to another location (a computer, recording device, television) in real time.

Streaming media is media that is continuously received by, and normally displayed to, the end-user whilst it is being delivered by the provider. The name refers to the delivery method of the medium rather than to the medium itself

You can record continually until the memory runs out, or gets full up. There is no time limit only memory limitation.

I think it is like buffering... sort of finding the video and getting ready to play it.
