I am an SE mechanic at MCAS Cherry Point, NC and trust me, the hours are nothing to complain about. I am a mechanic with a pretty high ops tempo and I still have nothing to complain about as far as physical labor. If anything ground side marines have the worst half of both aspects.

It all depends on the type of job, just like anywhere else. I wasn't actually in the Airwing, but any job in the corps depends on the needs.

If you want physical labor, go to the grunts or artillery. We did physical labor.
